Along the almost seven kilometre trail – over two kilometres are unobstructed – you can observe rare types of animals, trees and plants; in addition, you can try out and marvel at numerous attractions. These include arm bath and cold water treading treatments in Untereggen, the soil creep in the Rantelwald, the Vita Parcours and the trout ladder, all with explanations.
After 5 kilometres downstream or 1 ¼ hours, you will reach the largest playground in Eastern Switzerland with appealing equipment such as a knight’s castle, a rocket slide, ‘space ball’ climbing frame, floor-level trampoline, fountain and barbecue areas. If you would like to have a barbecue or a picnic, you can continue for another 10 minutes into the Horner Wald, which offers cosy barbecue areas and a Kneipp station.
From here you have the option of going for a swim at the Goldach lido in the afternoon or to carry on walking for a further 20 minutes towards the destinations of Horn towards the west or Rorschach towards the east.
