Here the art is made of sand

Every year 250 tons of sand are transported to Rorschach for the international sand sculpture festival. Ten teams of artists from all over the world compete against each other and form the sand into impressive, enormous sculptures. It's seldom that one is able to get such an in-depth glimpse into how such works of art are made. After 6 days when the works of art are finished, a jury makes its decision and awards the prize. Following this the sculptures remain standing for about 4 weeks, depending on the weather.
