St.Gallen’s evangelical Reformed church is a testament to history. It is a national listed building and is considered a monument of national significance. Today’s church with its neo-Gothic façade was built between 1850 and 1854 from designs by Johann Georg Müller. It was renovated extensively from 1969-1973. The church enjoyed popularity for several centuries as the ‘parish church’ and the building where city gatherings took place. During the Reformation, St.Laurenzen Church was the main church of the city’s Reformed residents.
