Once a maintenance depot for steam locomotives, it is now a multifunctional cultural centre. At the same time, the Lokremise can by rented by third-party event organisers, in particular for art and cultural projects, as well as congresses, corporate events, and celebrations. The Lokremise, built from 1903 to 1911, is the largest preserved locomotive roundhouse in Switzerland.
