Diogenes Theatre
The Diogenes Theater in Altstätten, founded in 1968, offers the highlights of the German-speaking cabaret scene from August to June.
Established artists find their place on the Diogenes stage, as do niche productions and promising newcomers.
The Diogenes Theater does not perform exclusively on the stage in the Theaterhaus; for special in-house productions, a garden stage with a grandstand is created and performed in the Museum Garden.
The Diogenes Theater develops and stages its own productions in the areas of theater, choir and music. The goal is to promote regional theatrical creativity. With closed school performances for classes from all over the Rhine Valley, the Diogenes Theater opens the door to the world of theater for young people. Children and adults who want to actively participate and stand on stage themselves can take part in one of the vacation courses or in the various workshops (theater, circus, tap, yodeling, impro, etc.).
