KINOTHEATER Madlen

KINOTHEATER Madlen

Unique in the region, the Madlen offers films, theatre, cabaret concerts and lectures.

The Madlen KINOTHEATER, a film theatre in Heerbrugg operated by J. Eggimann, celebrated its opening in 1949 with a screening of the Austrian movie “ Weisses Gold ”, or White Gold. Fred Carnier designed the building and oversaw its construction, showing great architectural skill with this imposing building. The elegant auditorium was equipped with a full stage, cinema screen, upholstered armchairs and leather seats. Picturesque mountain landscapes by the Appenzell painter Hugentobler adorn the walls on both sides. The time-honoured Madlen Cinema Theatre was extended at the end of 2016 with a new extension building with a second event and cinema hall. Since then, the entertainment part has been perfectly complemented by regional gastronomy.

The intimate atmosphere in the KINOTHEATER Madlen invites visitors to sit back, relax and enjoy.
