The Ortsmuseum Rüthi-Büchel has three exhibitions in three different buildings.

“Jeanette's doll and toy collection“ is located in the civil defence building that is home to the local museum in Rüthi. Opened in April 2013, the museum is lovingly adorned with more than 1,000 dolls dating from the 19th to 21st centuries. Dollhouses and all different kinds of toys are also on display.

A visit to the “ Schwärzerles-Theres-Huus ” gives visitors a glimpse into daily life long ago when nature and the cycle of the seasons determined the pace of life. Life was quieter back then and people stayed closer to home. The exhibit features a replica of the inside of a home from back then and also showcases women’s work and farm equipment.

Temporary exhibitions are shown in the old Büchel school building.
