A Christmas tree ornament in the shape of a St.Gallen bratwurst

The shop on Gallusplatz (Gallus Square) is a gallery and a gilding studio for frames – but also a veritable haven for fans of Christmas decorations. Mouth-blown and hand-painted glass ornaments are on sale here. And they come in special shapes and sizes. Like the replica of the monastery or the St.Gallen bratwurst.

Trüffelschnüffler

The Trüffelschnüffler is a café, bar and shop all wrapped into one. Pictures, books, clothes, cards and much more are sold here. The unusual motifs in bold colours are designed by the artist and managing director Eva Appenzeller. A separate creative world right next to the monastery is definitely worth a visit.

Souvenirs from the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site

The Abbey Library is one of the most important historic libraries in the world. The abbey shop offers a selection of thematically relevant books and other publications in German, English, French, Italian and Spanish. Also on sale is the popular Gallus beer which was first brewed to commemorate the anniversary of St.Gallen in 2012.
